BookingBoss is built and operated by Jesse Rooney. This page explains what information BookingBoss collects, how it's used, and how it's protected.
When a business signs up, BookingBoss collects the business name, owner name, email address, phone number, and billing information processed securely through Stripe. When a customer books an appointment through a business's booking page, BookingBoss collects their name, phone number, and any notes they provide.
Information collected is used to operate the BookingBoss platform, send appointment confirmation and reminder SMS messages, sync appointments to Google Calendar, process subscription payments through Stripe, and communicate with business owners about their accounts.
By providing a phone number on a booking form, customers consent to receive appointment confirmation and reminder text messages from the business they booked with. BookingBoss sends these messages on behalf of the business. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message.
Business owners may optionally connect their Google Calendar account. BookingBoss stores only the refresh token necessary to add appointment events to the calendar. No existing calendar events are read, modified, or deleted.
All data is stored securely in a managed PostgreSQL database. Connections are encrypted via HTTPS. Passwords are hashed using bcrypt and are never stored in plain text.
BookingBoss uses Stripe for payment processing, Twilio for SMS messaging, and Google for calendar integration. Each of these services has its own privacy policy governing the data they handle.
When a subscription is cancelled, appointment history is retained for 30 days before being deleted. Account data can be deleted at any time upon written request.
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data at any time by emailing romanrooney@gmail.com.
Questions about this Privacy Policy can be sent to romanrooney@gmail.com or through the contact page.
